Are you thinking about moving to cloud workplaces, but you don’t know how to do that? Don’t worry. Switching doesn’t have to be difficult at all. As with everything, good preparation is half the job. Read below to find out how we can help you to switch to these future-proof workplaces in six steps successfully.

  1. Start with a clear goal

The very first step, and also the most important one, is to determine your goal. What do you want to achieve with moving to the cloud workplace? Do you want to increase your accessibility, create a better work-life balance for your colleagues or have access to company data and applications anytime, anywhere? Or maybe all three at the same time? Together we set the goals, which already makes filling in the workplace much easier and clearer.

  1. Involve your colleagues

Your colleagues are ultimately the ones who use the workstations. Their input is, therefore, significant. That’s why we ask them what they need to be able to work even better. Think of specific devices or apps with which they can perform their tasks even faster and easier. Doing this is more important than is often thought; by involving your colleagues, you can create the ideal workplace more quickly. Thus creating internal support for the new workplaces, which is, of course, good for a quick adaption.

  1. Make an inventory of your existing IT environment

With cloud workplaces, you work entirely online. That provides more digital data on your network. To be able to continue working, your network must be up to date. But how do you find that out? We are happy to find out together with you what is needed to make your IT future-proof and optimally cloud-proof. Doing so, not only saves you much time but also offers you the peace of mind.

  1. Choose the right solution

Now that we have jointly determined the goal, needs, and your IT environment, it’s time to choose the best solution. The desired functionalities are, of course, important, but that is not the only thing to pay attention to. We also have to look at security and support of the services and possible additional services from the supplier. After all, you want to be able to continue to work well in all circumstances. Of course, we can support you in managing the workstations.

  1. Draw up an action plan

Once we have determined which workplace solutions best fit your organization, it’s time to plan the rollout. A plan of approach is, obviously, useful at this stage. In this plan, we include when the old workplaces are disconnected, and the new ones are delivered and installed. We can also give workshops to your colleagues in this phase so that they will get off to a good start right away.

  1. Evaluate and learn

Okay, the cloud workstations are up and running. Now you want to know what your colleagues think. Evaluation moments will help you; they can provide valuable insights. Perhaps it’s not yet completely clear to everyone how some functions work, or other problems hamper productivity. By talking to your colleagues, you will quickly find out. At the same time, you prevent your colleagues from using private devices for business purposes. This often happens when you are dissatisfied with the workplace and can lead to data leaks.
